Overview - Alternate Parts Rules

You can set up the default rules for alternate parts in the repair facility or claim office profiles of the company. Select the Estimating Rules link, and then select the Alternate Parts. Select a category from the Each category displays a different screen on which you set the defaults for that category of alternate parts.

Each category of alternate parts that you select (General, Alternate, or Recycled) presents a different screen, where you enter the rules for that category. The defaults you enter will determine the order of processing, the selection methods and criteria, included parts, and other details relating to the way alternate parts are handled during the estimating process.
